Constance, Billie, and Sergeant Block are back in the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Couch to 5K® training app. This app, hailed as the best Healthcare & Fitness app at the 2012 Appy Awards, is designed to build upon the training experience of individuals who have completed the Couch to 5K plan or are already 5K-ready. The goal of this app is to prepare you to run a 10K (6.2-mile) race in just 9 weeks, and the best part is that it is now available for free!
Dedicate just 25 to 70 minutes, three times a week, for a total of nine weeks, and you will be well on your way to being 10K-ready!
Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background may significantly decrease your battery life.
Your chosen 5K to 10K coach will provide you with verbal guidance throughout your workouts. To conserve your battery, the app will send audio notifications even when your screen is locked or when you are using another app.
To ensure that you can hear your coach during workouts, please follow these steps:
- Turn on Notifications permissions
- Turn on the hardware ring/silent switch (no red showing)
- Adjust your ringer volume to a higher level
- Turn off Do Not Disturb (swipe up for Control Panel and make sure the moon button is not white)
- In the app settings, under Workout Options, increase the Trainer Volume
If you prefer to keep the app active and still hear the coach without granting notification permissions, simply click the lock icon at the top left during workouts.
